Replaced by Hikigane in '99, but returns in '01 as a follow-up to Yanosabi removed again for '03, but returns in XII as a standalone move. Has the effect of his '94 standing D, leaps with a follow-up kick if pressing the B or D attack button again. KicK, but returns in XII removed again in XIV.
Removed in '96, but returns in XI removed again in XIV. Throws a ground-based fire projectile towards his opponent.
Iori himself is occasianally subject to the Riot of the Blood, which makes him go mad. The Yasakani were doomed to live very short lives. This pact, however, carried a heavy cost. In order to overpower the Kusanagi, the Yasakani made a blood pact with Orochi, thus turning their flames purple instead of the crimson flames they originally weilded. 2000 years ago, a dispute arose between the Yata, Kusanagi and Yasakani clans over which is the strongest, the Kusanagi's claiming to be the most powerful of the three. Iori is a member of the Yagami clan, originally known as the Yasakani.
In KoF '96, Kyo and Iori have a special intro when they face each other. He first appered in The King of Fighters '95 as Kyo Kusanagi's arch enemy.
